We are a specialty operator focusing on world-class Small Group Tours and Private Trips to Peru and Patagonia.
Though we primarily offer trips to Peru and Patagonia, upon request we may be able to offer Private Travel experiences to the Galapagos and elsewhere in the Andes region as well.
You can travel with a group of 6-14 passengers on a Small Group Luxury Tour on the specific dates listed on the tour pages.
Or you can sign up for a Private Tour for just you and your traveling companions that has been pre-designed and operates on set dates throughout most of the year.
Or you can fill out a Request More Info form on the Custom Travel page, and we can create a tailor-made, private travel itinerary just for you on the dates of your choice.
The ideal time to visit Peru is from April through October during the dry season. Our personal favorite month to visit is in April during the crop harvests before summer tourists start to arrive.
The ideal time to visit Patagonia is from November-March (during the summer months when weather is favorable–although weather is always unpredictable in Patagonia). Ryan’s personal favorite month to visit is in February during the Chinook salmon run at Estancia Cristina.
If you have a specific question regarding the details of a particular tour, call us at 888-996-3558 or email Ryan at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
All of the rooms are based upon double occupancy. If you are a single traveler, you will be charged an additional “single supplement” fee which will automatically be added to the price of your expedition. The costs for both double and single occupancy are listed on the tour pages.

Paragon Expeditions does not offer insurance directly, but we encourage travelers to purchase trip insurance. We personally recommend Patriot Travel Medical Insurance by ITG. If you have a question about insurance, you can email Ryan at email@example.com.
You will then be sent a pre-trip packet containing a detailed brochure, suggestions from the founder, and other information about your upcoming journey.
If you have any questions leading up to the trip, you can call, text, or email the CEO & Founder of the company directly so Ryan can address your concerns.
Private Travel is available year-round in Peru. On the other hand, Private Travel to Patagonia is only offered between November and March when the weather is ideal.
On our Small Group Tours to Peru and Patagonia, guests may have the opportunity to meet the beneficiaries of our donations first-hand during guest lectures or day excursions. For example, on our Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley Expedition, Holly Wissler comes to Sol y Luna lodge with members of the Q’eros Quechua for a lecture on the traditional Andean music during specific Peru tours, and travelers are able to meet the Q’eros personally and gain a better understanding of the importance of our pledge to support their ancient traditions via financial assistance to the Mountain Fund.
Guests are not expected to volunteer at any point, although these sorts of opportunities may be available upon specific request.
In Patagonia, Paragon Expeditions is partnered with Conservación Patagonica, an environmental group working to conserve the Patagonian wilderness. On Patagonia trips, there are no specific volunteer activities but these may be available upon request.
You will have an experienced local, english-speaking guide that will accompany you throughout the trip, catering to your specific needs and desires every step of the way.
Furthermore, on certain itineraries you will have the opportunity to meet a featured “trip expert,” that will provide compelling insights into certain aspects of the local area. In several cases, these individuals are famous for their work in their respective field.
You will be traveling with like-minded adventurers looking for an unbelievable experience in the Andes. In many cases, travelers that have gone on our tours have become very close and remained good friends for years to come.
No, we do not provide airfare. You will need to book these flights independently.
When you sign up for a Small Group Luxury Tour, we will give you detailed instructions on how to book your flights so that they flow well within the structure of the tour itinerary. We are happy to assist you and make the booking process as smooth and easy as possible.
You will receive a beautiful copy of the tour brochure with a detailed itinerary, information about the lodges, an introduction to the trip experts, a map of the journey, and other travel details and logistics.
On Small Group Tours, you will also be sent a 100% American-made organic cotton Paragon Expeditions t-shirt and a personalized letter from the founder with personal suggestions regarding how to get prepared for your tour and maximize your experience during your travels.
Yes, but this will need to be done well in advance before other guests begin signing up.
In Peru, Cusco and the surrounding Andes mountains are between 9,000 and 14,000 ft. Our itineraries have been carefully designed to allow time for travelers to acclimatize. However, if you have a propensity for altitude sickness you should consult with your doctor before your tour and get a prescription to help alleviate the effects.
Despite the dramatic mountain ranges, Patagonia lies at a relatively low altitude and altitude sickness is not a concern in Patagonia.
